I love that the universal reaction to the news of the guys getting together for Chris's birthday has been, "All five of them. No, really. ALL FIVE. INCLUDING JUSTIN."

I got an order for cars from "Cars", but didn't have a cookie cutter that looked anything like a car. So... I used a pumpkin!

First I traced out the pumpkin cookie cutter, and did a rough draft of what I thought the cookie should look like. Then I cut out the pumpkin, trimmed off the top and bottom, and used an upside down "1" cutter to cut out the space between the wheels. And... voila! Cars!

Maybe I'm just following the wrong people, but I continue to be baffled at how careless people are on Twitter and Tumblr about TV show spoilers, as opposed to people being (generally) considerate on LiveJournal. I'm not one of those spoiler-phobic people who get all rageful if spoilers appear, but in general I prefer to avoid them, or at least have a CHOICE in the matter. If I'd wanted to go into the end of the season of "Glee" with a blank slate, that was completely destroyed when everyone and their mother blasted the Paleyfest spoilers across Tumblr and Twitter last night.

So is it just me, or do other people see a big difference? I'm not really talking about the people who live-tweet shows, making those on the West Coast have to avoid Twitter for three hours if they want to stay unspoiled (though that's annoying, too), but the people who blast out far-ahead big plot spoilers.

I just need to share this... a friend of mine is in the Broadway show "War Horse", which has its first preview on Tuesday, so I decided to make cookies... in the shape of a horse. Well, it made sense in my head.

I can't post this on FB or he'll see it, so I figured I would share it with all of you. :)

HORSIE!

In response to the tragic suicides among LGBT youth across the nation, young stars of Broadway have come together in song. This song is dedicated to anyone who has ever been bullied or victimized because of who they are or how they are perceived.

That was the best episode of Smallville I've seen in YEARS.

So apparently I'm the only one who liked the Supernatural season premiere, and who thought that while it wasn't the greatest episode ever, it worked as a really good set up for the conflicts to be overcome and the journey to be taken this season?

Well, okay then!

A friend of mine is trying to hunt down the "Xander the Vampire Series" fanfics by Adalisa, which seem to have mostly disappeared from the Interwebs. Anyone have any idea where a copy might be found? (I'm mostly thinking [info]apetslife is my best hope here, but any other suggestions welcome! I tried the usual WayBack Machine/Google Cache hunting with little to no luck.)

Thanks, everyone!

I don't know how many of you are "Glee" fans, but Jonathan Groff (Jesse St. James) did a solo show at Joe's Pub last night that was FANTASTIC. Here's a playlist of the whole show. 12 HD videos, including banter and songs:

Your challenge is to write crossover fanfiction combining the Monkees and Emeril Legasse.
The story should use drug abuse as a plot device!

I had actually been thinking about this earlier in the week, but it had slipped my mind until I saw someone mention "Hiatus Day" on Facebook. Can't really decide if April 28, 2002 seems like a million years ago, or just yesterday....

So many people in my life because of those five guys. SO MANY. Even if they never sing a song together again (WHICH THEY SHOULD. BY THE WAY.), I'm so grateful for that.

And in honor of the day, [info]starsprinkles created a Tumblr! Check it out! http://mustbepop.tumblr.com/

One of my favorite Broadway boys had a gig at Joe's Pub on Wednesday, and closed out the show with Justin's "LoveStoned" as his encore.

I never bothered to get any Spring Awakening icons aside from those featuring Jonathan and Lea, and now thanks to "Glee", they're all magically relevant again!

Honestly, I have almost no thoughts on last night's episode of Glee more coherent than, "Jonathan Groff on my television every week, please?"

ETA: And for those of you who have never seen him do anything but Glee, here's Jonathan WITHOUT the autotuning!

I remember seeing at some point, in one of the debates about the new archive, that someone complained that you couldn't see all the fandoms represented in Yuletide, because the search only brought back a certain number of the most recent stories. And then that person realized there was a master list of every Yuletide fandom.

Which I, for life of me, cannot find. Nor can I remember whose LJ the discussion occurred in.

Help?

Lambert Bumped from GMA Fall Concert Series Show Due to Controversial AMA Performance, 11/25

According to a Good Morning America audience coordinator, Adam Lambert's highly anticipated free concert in New York City tomorrow, November 25, has been cancelled due to thousands of complaints from viewers over his recent sexually explicit American Music Awards performance on Sunday. The concert was to be part of Good Morning America's "Fall Concert Series."

A cancellation e-mail distributed to fans this morning reads:

Attn: Adam Lambert Fans (About the November 25,2009 concert):

The Adam Lambert Concert on Good Morning America at the Hudson Theatre has been officially cancelled. It is not necessary to come to the theatre because it will be closed. Thank you for your interest in the show and Adam Lambert. We look forward to your attendance at future events.

The concert was to have taken place at the Hudson Theatre on 44th Street, for upwards of 700 fans, to be aired on Good Morning America tomorrow morning.

During the controversial American Music Awards performance, Lambert kissed his male keyboard player on one occasion, and rubbed another male dancer's face in his crotch on another, drawing thousands of complaints to ABC, which broadcast the awards event.

The Good Morning America concert was scheduled as a promotional event for his new album For Your Entertainment, which dropped yesterday.

ETA: If you'd like to let Good Morning America your opinion of their decision, a handy-dandy contact form is here: http://abcnews.go.com/Site/page?id=3271346&cat=Good%20Morning%20America

The official announcement isn't out yet, but it should hit any time now... Tom Lenk (Andrew, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer") will be taking over as Franz in Broadway's "Rock of Ages" after Wesley Taylor leaves on September 13th. Interestingly enough, Tom actually originated the role of Franz in the first production of the show in Los Angeles, lo those many moons ago.

I think the thing I'm most amused about will be watching the Buffy fans mingle with the Constantine Maroulis fans....

LOVED this, which was published BEFORE the Rolling Stone issue came out, and which I found by way of Andrew Sullivan at The Atlantic:

I know next to nothing about Kris Allen’s non-musical life, except that he’s married, he calls himself Christian and he’s done missionary work across the world. I heard about the exchanges among the other contestants that made reference to what is supposedly “godly” and right in relationships, but Kris’s name wasn’t part of that. I don’t know what kind of Christianity he practises, or how he envisions his God. I do know this: he declares himself Christian to the television audience – i.e. to the world; and he freely, publicly, verbally, and especially non-verbally, loves Adam Lambert like a brother. …

It’s joyously evident that Kris has no qualms whatsoever about his trust in Adam, or about the message he’s sending to viewers. When they hugged, they hugged for real – there was none of the typical back-slapping not-too-close! hugs between men in public. To pick just one, there’s a telling moment in front of the press corps immediately after Kris’ win. Adam is patiently doing his post-episode 10-minute Q&A beside the Fox logo, when Kris comes around the corner into camera range and nearly tackles Adam with a broadside bear-hug. It’s spontaneous, genuine, and affectionate, for the world to see.

They’ve had each other’s backs. They’ve learned from each other, and they’ve advocated for each other. With and for each other they are respectful and generous. Open. Trusting. And loving.

Adam Lambert could not be happier for his friend, Kris Allen, American Idol 2009. And Kris Allen admires and celebrates the extraordinary gifts of his larger-than-life friend, Adam Lambert.

Kris Allen is my kind of Christian.

Went to "Rock of Ages" on Broadway last night (go see it... so much fun!), and a friend with good box office mojo managed to get our partial-view side lottery tickets converted into 8th row orchestra center house seats. Not a bad way to spend $26.50!

About 30 seconds after the show started, the four empty seats in front of us were suddenly filled.

Well, here, I'll just let this explain it:

Yep. I spent the show sitting right behind Zac Efron. Who pretty much kept to himself, but seemed to really enjoy the show, and I saw the people he was with give him some funny looks at the Tiger Beat jokes. ;)

Okay, so I finally have seen the light and realized, yes, I should have been using Firefox as my browser lo these many years.

Now that I AM, I figured my friendslist was the best place to ask about all the wonderful Firefox extensions and add-ons that you cannot possibly live without, and that I should be using myself.

Helllllp!

"Before this game started, Kilmer said, '48 minutes for the next 48 years of our lives.' I say, fuck that. Fuck that. Let's go out there and we'll play the next 24 minutes for the next 24 minutes. And we'll leave it all out there on the field. We have the rest of our lives to be mediocre, but we have the opportunity to play like Gods for the next half of football. But we can't be afraid to lose, there's no room for fear in this game. Now if we go out there, and we half-ass it 'cause we're scared, all we're left with is an excuse; we're always gonna wonder. But if we go out there, and we give it absolutely everything - that's heroic. Let's be heroes."
